JFk Inaugural Address Open ended response

President Kennedy did believe that  nations can make a difference in the world. In the passage John F. Kennedy states, " Finally to those nations who would make them selves our adversary, we offer not a pledge but a request; that both sides begin anew the quest for peace, before the dark powers of destruction unleashed by science engulf all humanity in planned or accidental self-destruction." and also states, " Let both sides explore what problems unite us instead of belaboring those problems which divide us." This demonstrates that John F. Kennedy did believe that nations can really make a difference. A difference that no one really tried on doing because if we actually did, we wouldn't have been on that situation. Just like in the story I read when I was in 7th grade called peace to the world. No one really tried to sought peace between the nations because all they thought about was war and violence, but in the end they figured out how they can work out things together, like a team, that does not involve violence or any of that stuff.
