My Story To The Wild

June 29th, 8:30 am

As I set foot on a forest near La Libertad, El Salvador, I start to wonder how my wild life is going to start. First thing first I need to figure out how I am going to store my plane ticket in a safe place to go back to USA. When I found a space to settle at , I took out a shoe box that I brought from home and placed my money, plane ticket, and my documents in it and decided to bury it underground near a coconut tree for safe keeping. After i've done that I took out my machete that my father had bought me when I was 18, and started to look for wood to make fire. While I was looking for wood I noticed this huge old tree near a river that could help me for shelter.

As I looked up to see how tall the tree was I said, "Wow! This tree is huge!" Then I noticed that the clouds were getting dark and I had a feeling it was going to rain very soon. " I better hurry up to look for wood" I said. But when i took my first step I felt a small drop in my left cheek and then out of nowhere it started to rain like a waterfall. "Darn it!" I yelled, thinking someone would here me. As I was sitting down by the tree, I would feel the peaceful noise from each drop of water and I was lucky enough to not get too wet because most of the water would hit the leaves of the gigantic tree.

As I was waiting patiently for the rain to stop I was thinking of what to do when the rain would stop. Then I remembered about my shoe box that i buried on the ground. "Oh no!" I said and i went 100 miles per hour to the location where I had buried it hoping that my money and documents did not get too wet because without it i cant go back to USA. As I dug out my shoe box, it was very, very wet. When I opened it, my passport was ruined. I opened it and the pages fell off. "Why!!!!!!" I yelled with anger. I had to think for a while to figure out what to do.

Then Something came in mind. I had family members in this country, so i decided to go to them for help. As I planned my next journey I was thinking of my lesson that I learned, which is to not be reckless and to not be in the wild with no survival skills. Then I wondered about the time and it was 1:00 pm. I decided to head to Usulutan today and hope that I would get there in at least less than 2 days.
